| nosi, i just got around to fixing my silver screw bf2. it turns out my d1(11v) was shorted. can you get a picture of it? i got some replacement zener diodes (unfortunately i could only find 10v and 12v versions), so i will probably use the 10v one. i need to know which side the black stripe goes on if the wires are at the top. thanks a lot. |

Hi metal0822
I suggest you use the 12V zener, & I'm sure Laurie, ccsim & the other Tech guys will agree.
You will find detailed pictures of the BF-2 here on pages 9 & 17 of the internals thread.
Page 9 an 1983 BF-2 posted by Ssanyee: http://www.bossarea.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=4147&whichpage=9
And a really nice (SS) Silver Screw BF-2 on. Page 17 posted by nosi0: http://www.bossarea.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=4147&whichpage=17
I hope this helps? Please keep us informed of your progress-success. Good luck.

Here are the guts of the AF-100 BeeBaa. If there ever was a serial number, it should have been in the area behind the pots (the underside of the top plate, where all the wires cross) - but there's no residue or other evidence that a sticker was ever there.. were some of these non-serialized perhaps?

This thing looks seriousl cool. We'll need to see if we can find a schem so we can clone it. With the Bee"Baa" name, we can call the clone "Dolly" |
