Hi Guys
I was wondering if anyone here had some internal pictures, of the Shin-ei wah pedal.
Even any links to some, would be great.
I am about to rebuild the wah, that ShakeTheDevil sent to me some weeks ago.
I would like to make it look as authentic as possible, as far as wire color and layout go.
I even collected some vintage, used, slightly faded, color wire from a bit of gear, from the very early 80's, for that more authentic look.
I will post pics of the rebuild.
Thanks for any help guys
Regards Dr. Bob |

Hi Strato & Guys
What I'm really looking for, is the wah only version of the Shin-e wah. But I guess that any internal pics of the construction & wiring scheme would be of help.
The PCB only has 2 transistors like most simple Wah only pedals.
Can I also ask you,: Does it wah down to go bright, like on a Crybaby. (most common method) or does it wah up to go bright like some older vintage wahs?
Basically any info or pics, would be great.
Regard & thanks Dr. Bob |

Hi Strat & Guys
For those of you that are interested. All I have managed to find is this On DiscoFreq's site.
http://filters.muziq.be/model/sekova/wt1
It looks similar. It might be enough.
Although Strato, can you tell me the value of the pot in your Wah Fuzz.

I sold a Shin-ei Fuzz Wah a few months ago, actually it was just the case and a few parts. I did note down some numbers for the auction:
Kogyo Fuzz footswitch with Shin-ei logo M100K-G 78111B wah potentiometer (range 0 to ~120K if I recall)
I did take some pics but there's not much to see, though I have shots of the 8TR schematic (if you haven't found it on the 'net).
I remember that page that Stratosphere has linked to (when I was considering building it up), it's the best link I saw for these Fuzz Wahs. |

Hi Strato & Guys
Thanks the link was great, I also got some fantastic info & Pics off DiscFreq-Fx's site
I think I'm pretty right now.
I did find that the ESR on the 10uf 16Volt caps was way TOO HIGH, nit good in a filer circuit, or any other circuit for that matter, The caps will have to be replaced, I already found some in my old stock.
Will keep you all informed, as i think I now have everything to finish it off.
We even cleaned off the 35 Plus years of dirt, grime & dust out of the non-slip grooves in the foot treadle.
It's Fri. over here, so I have put it into my weeken things to do.
