Yeah I was going to post this as well. He is asking for $200 over the top selling price this should be allowed to go for.
I think this guy is just looking for crack money. |

Even with the down-turned economic climate, we poor Aussie's pay top dollar for almost of new & second hand equipment.
I will not be surprised if someone makes him a decent offer for it.
or pays the BIN price.
Even with our Dollar being close to parity with the US$ we still seem to be paying at least double, what you guys in the States pay, for the same goods. currently at (0.92c)
Checkout the completed priced for some pedals like the CE-2 here in OZ.
let alone the OD-1, SG-1, SP-1 prices.
I know Laurie will agree with me, he listens to me moan & bitch about it all the time.
Price a Mexian made Srat MOM out here in OZ.- Rec.retail=$999au
Do the same in the US, even considering that not many of you guys in the States would even think about, buying or looking at a MIM Strat to start with.
Out here they are talked up, as if they wee the ants pants.
Don't even ask about an American Standard or one of the relic or Custom shop series.
I'm in no way defending these people that well at maxed out, end of the rainbow prices.
Just looking at it realistically from an Oz perspective.
Just to scare you even more,
the current $AU R.R.P on a Mesa Boogie Mark V is $6450au.
And I belive it's even worse in some other countries.
Will I be bidding on it - definitely NO,
I just hope the seller isn't one of our members.

I really want to up grade my amp to something decent (tube), and im going to have to nearly take out a loan to get it!
I simply can not afford it unless I buy second hand really. (Hey Dr.Bob, got any decent amps you wana sell?  ) |
