depends on what you really want.
i would go:
wah -> PH-3 -> DS-1 -> ME-50 -> DD-6 -> CH-1 -> amp.

Where as I would go...
Wah >> DS1 >> PH3 >> CH1 >> ME50 >> DD6 >> Amp
Also bear in mind that stereo output is essential to get the full idea of modulation effects and, particularly, delay.
So, I would be inclined to have 2 amps and go.... ME50 >(stereo out)> DD6 >> 2 amps
The basic route for set ups is... Wah/Compressor > distortion > Modulation > Delay
I tend to play around with the modulation order (flangers/phasers/chorus etc..)

placement on phasers is a lot of preference.
while they are modulation effects, i consider a phaser more closely related to a wah pedal than a chorus or flanger, so i generally recommend putting them before distortions, but a lot of it depends on the phaser.
older styled phasers such as PH-1, PH-1r, MXR phase 45/90, etc. i tend to prefer early.
PH-2's i really don't like before a distortion. i haven't played PH-3's enough to have an opinion on it.
as for placement of the ME-50, i guess that really depends upon what you are using it for. |

I'd consider putting the ME-50 in the middle of your chain as such: Wah > DS-1 > PH-3 > ME-50 > CH-1 > DD-6 > Amp.
Look at my post on this thread for general info: http://www.bossarea.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=4126
Good luck & let us know what sounds best! |
