I was going to post a similar topic a couple days ago but forgot. Instead of letting this thread die and start a new one I'll just post it here.
What are some of your favorite old school video games and systems?
SuperNES was my glory days system. Zelda A Link To The Past is a badass game. I also liked Uniracers, Street Fighter 2, Mortal Kombat 2, Killer Instinct, Clay Fighters, and The Lost Vikings. |

Stargate was my favorite arcade game. I actually own a cocktail version which sits in my basement waiting for some RAM.
I played my Atari 2600 through college (1988).
After that, Quake was my game.
M.A.M.E is great though; I can say I legally own the right to a particular ROM! (Stargate) I need to turn my old Dell 450 into a M.A.M.E machine. I have a HotRod controller which is great for most games but still a bit weird for Stargate. But for ROBOTRON, it RAWKS! |

| My two favorite arcades are Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and The Simpsons. Centipede also holds a fond spot in my heart. |

In my chequered past... I used to be a service tech at a "pinball machine" company. It was called a pinball machine company because there weren't any video games back then
I remember when the first space invaders machine came out - we couldn't believe it. There was even a song written about it. Then my favorite of all time came out - Galaga (aka Galaxian).

I played Quake 2/3 from 1995 to 2005 an average of 5 hrs/day.
Most weekends was 8-12 hours straight.
One doesn't get to be 14th in the world on less! |

I work day shifts and night shifts. I play most when I'm staying up the night before a night shift. My girlfriend really wouldn't appreciate me cranking a valve amp at these hours, and I don't really watch TV. |

It's not old school, but I like the SSX snowboard/ski games. |
