I have had DN-2 (Dynadrive) for a couple of month now, at first I liked it a lot, it was very funny to use. The touch sensivity I liked a lot, it reminded me of a great tube amp but on a much lower output level.
But I got a bit tired of it, as you can be with digital modulation effects and I stopped using it after a couple of weeks.
I tried it again yesterday and it amazed me how I could have liked it so much in the beginning
Side by side tested it with my two longtime favourites DS-1 and SD-2, the later ones sounds much better for sure, not identical in any way but better, more organic.
Anyone else had the same feelings about DN-2?
It could be that COSM is not for my ears, but I still like FBM-1 a lot, I use it nearly every time I play.

Along the same vein, I think I dislike my FBM-1

Let's hope she doesn't read the forum.

I got annoyed with the DN-2 too. After a while I found there's something with the crunch I don't particularly like. Don't think it's because it's COSM cause I still have the FDR-1 and the ML-2 on the pedal board and I like them a lot.

What makes tube amps so nice is the random-ness of the tubes...with digital even though you can make it act "random", its only as random as it is programmed to act, so I can see it possibly sounding the same or redundant after awhile...

dont hate me for saying this, but i think every company should stop making distortion/OD pedals. theres really nowhere else to go, and BOss in particular hasnt really impressed me with anything new post 2000. (besides RC-2 and possibly PS-5)

Well, thats hard words.
I can agree that not much has impressed me either the last couple of years, RC-2 is a nice recorder, but its not an instrument in the same way as a chorus. FBM-1 I like lot, but thinking of it there are nothing really impressive that has been released for the last 7-10 years.

But stop making distortions/ods There can be something more to find out I think, but at the same time the best ones are old designs more or less modified.
Regarding tube amps the best ones are very old designs, and no new design (to my knowledge) has made the old ones bad or old fashioned.
