It not only has the reputation it IS the worst beer ever made.

I am not a fan of Heineken either, however, I think you are mistaken in your assertion that it is the worst beer ever... You should try some of the cheap beers here in Australia... VB, West End etc... It's like there's a party in your mouth, except everyone is vomiting.

I think I'm spoiled being a dutchman living in Germany and relatively close to Belgium. So I apologize to everyone I've offended saying that heineken is the worst beer ever. It's still on the bottom of my list though.

Hell yeah I'm interested but I don't have the means to buy up some crates. I'm looking for a kind hearted Belgian to pick up a few Westys and be willing to send them across the pond to me. God willing...

Well, I don't live near the abbey, but when I'm in the area, I'll think about it.

Did you have it from the bottle or as draught beer ?

I was in Brugge once and visited the brewery ('de halve maan') and the had it from the keg, pure heaven.

Some friends of mine visited Brugge once and I told 'm to visit 'the halve maan' well to make a long story short, it was the only place they visited that weekend

I bought a mini keg of my all time favorite beer, Warsteiner. I was so pumped to see a mini keg of Warsteiner that I failed to check the expiration date.

Now I'm stuck drinking a mini keg of beer two months past its best by date. Oh well, it's still better than drinking Busch, Coors, Miller. Sorry if you drink any of those. It's just that I can't respect those brands.

man where I live everybody drinks Keystone...it's so bad around here if you ask for a 30 pack of Cold Remorse(blue label), Burning Dawn(red label)or Black Ice(black label) the local retailers know exactly what your asking for!!!!! Humorous but very sad at the same time...hillbillies run amok in my neck of the woods!
