Today I had a closer look on my DS-1 and figured out it looks somehow odd. Comparing it to the OD-1 (and other other 2 and 3 knob pedals I have) I found out that the silver circle on the top of the knobs has different diameter. The ones on the DS-1 are bigger. Knobs on both pedals are of the older type, fastened with a screw. So what puzzled me is why they are not the same. Any ideas? Are the ones with the bigger silver circle not original? Maybe the ones you can buy on ebay?
Hi Miky, the ones with the bigger brushed aluminum are repro. My beat DS-1 has the same, and I'm about to replace them with the correct ones.P.S. You can get the correct ones on eBay, search OD-1.
Ok. You have confirmed my suspicions. I've checked eBay for the correct ones but still I'm quite unsure. The difference on the repro ones is 0.8 mm in diameter so it is hard to tell from the picture on eBay, whether they have the real deal or its going to be the same repro I have now. Anyway, its quite cheap so I might give it a try.
Hey Miky, it's the fellow from Brooklyn NY, br-99-z2. I purchased them in the past and they look identical to the originals. Only difference is they are new, and may jump out on a well loved pedal! Infact the set I have I plan on relicing them with a scuff pad so they look like they have weathered the storm!P.S. They are the ones with the set screw.
