A guy on eBay has just sold two hyper rare pedals for a ridiculous amount:

First is a grey VOX wah Prototype from the 1960s:

These were the first wah pedals ever created (even earlier than the Clyde McCoy) and there were only about 5 of these ever made. There's only one other person I know of in existence who has one of these still intact.

Next is a MINT condition Dallas Rangemaster with original box and paperwork:

These aren't quite as rare as the grey Vox but it's unlikely you'd ever find one in such good, original condition.

Just shows you what silly money people will pay for effects though. The Rangemaster in particular is such a basic, simple effect which although sounds great, I'd have a hard time parting with so much cash to get one and it's VERY easy to build an accurate sounding clone.

Yes, that Rangemaster is Museum condition - probably could have got even more for it selling it to a private collector off eBay.

The Vox also looks pretty mint although, inevitably, the pot is scratchy. You'll probably never see another one of these on eBay again (unless the winning bidder decides to sell this one on anyway).

Yes, I noticed that it was the same person buying all these items. They must have money to burn!

It's probably some super rich collector who will lock them away forever in a cupboard...
