I just replaced my DD-6 w/ a new DD-7 and was appalled when I tried the tap tempo feature! There is an audible clicking like a metronome! Has anyone else experienced this?

When I'm running it in front of the amp, it's fine. But in the effects loop, it makes a noticable click for each beat of the tempo setting!

I tried it on several different amps. It clicks in the effects loop everytime. It doesn't matter whether I use an external pedal for tapping the tempo. It clicks no matter what I do. I tried the DD-6 side by side and the DD-6 is fine, no noise.

Is this a problem w/ all DD-7s, or do I have a bad unit?

Any thoughts are appreciated. Try yours and let me know if it's clicking too!

I usually put the jack in output B and Input A may i also suggest a boss power supply or maybe its one of your pedals

i actually have a fourm on one of my dd-7 problems you should check out http://www.bossarea.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=4652 you might learn something from it

welcome to the forum.........i would hate think that there is some sort of emerging problem wih this pedal but exodia333 is having probs as well with a volume drop.... you shouldn't have to put a delay pedal first in you chain,i know it's a matter of personal taste but i have always got the best results having it last or near the very end after the booster/overdrives etc......

Whew!

I got it figured out. Thanks to everyone for their welcomes and comments. Exodia333, your comments definitely pushed me in the right direction. I hadn't had a chance to use it alone and troubleshoot everything, but the DD6 worked fine in the same chain, so I was worried.

I just used a separate power supply and it works fine!

It kinda sucks having to use an extra PS, but it's better than the DD-7 not working.

So, let me join the masses that are saying: The new DD-7 kicks ass!

It looks like Boss really got it right w/ this one.

Thanks again everyone.
