hi guys,
do you think the FZ-3 is a good, rare and collectible pedal ? |

It may be rare, since it was officially produced for only 2 years. It may also be good. But I think that the FZ-2 is more versatile and maybe better as far as I've heard sound examples of the FZ-3.
It also depends on how much you want to pay for it. Is there any offer that you are keeping an eye on? |

| It was only made for 2 years cause it was not that popular of a pedal. not saying it does not sound good but the general public did not buy many of them. It's not rare today but 20 years from now it might be |

I have one but it's been so long since i tried it i forget what it sounds like.... ..AFAIK only 15,000 were made so in that respect it might be rare compared to some other boss pedals but it's not a classic fuzz if thats what your after..i found it from what i remember a bit dull sounding.....
Zerks....did you rip the avatar off that guy off the HC thread that Pedal Dan posted...?.... |

FZ-3 is OK, but FZ-2 is better in my opinion. The real bottom of Boss fuzzes is the FZ-5, one of the worst fuzzes I ever tried, still in my opinion The paintwork on FZ-3 is amazing. |

thanks guys,
I have the opportunity to buy one for 60 euros (82 USD), in very good shape but without box, I think I'll buy it.
And I already have a FZ-2 and I love it |

That's a pretty good deal fabs. The FZ-3 isn't anything special, but it's not aweful either. There are just so many cool fuzz pedals out there that I think if you're looking for your fuzz, you'd have to try a lot of pedals.
I'd definitely say it's collectible though. |

| The FZ3 has a similar circuit to a Fuzz Face, but with Boss' usual buffers and bypasses. |

Sound wise there is a huge difference between a good Fuzz Face (or clone of it) and a FZ-3, even if they have about the same circuit. Good Fuxx Faces are extremely nice pedals, from light overdrive to fuzz-out sounds. |
