This follows on from thinking about having "two pedals in one" from the thread about OD2R vs SD2 (http://www.bossarea.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=4822).
I noticed when I pulled my friend's DC-2 apart to change a jack and do some maintenance that it is also really "two pedals in one". It has two entire chorus pedals inside - full BBD/clock-driver/compander for each channel. No wonder it sounds sweet.
I have been using my CE-5 to split the signal from mono to stereo, but I'm going to try splitting the signal before the chorus effect and run both of my CE-5 pedals (one for each channel) and see if it sounds anywhere near as good as the DC-2 did.

Seeing as it was based on the Roland SDD-320 Dimension D rack mount, they had to cram all of that into a tiny Boss pedal. My DC3 and MZ2 have two pcbs inside, sure there is more.
Let us know about your experiment with the CE5s, (digi or analog?) I tried something similar utilizing the stereo outputs and running a CE2 to one amp, and a PH1r to the other, and if you stand in the middle, it gets very disorientating, one sound going one direction, while the other goes a different direction.

Both CE-5 pedals are analogue... Will keep you posted. |

Just tried the two CE-5 pedals. Guitar into a DD-7, left and right split out of the DD-7 each into a CE-5 in mono.
Sounds "similar but different" to the DC-2. It is certainly WAY nicer than using mono in to a single CE-5 and stereo out of that one pedal. Much more depth and movement. I like it a lot
To get a "jarring" sound out of the setup, i had to wind the rate of one CE-5 all the way up and the rate of the other all the way down. Even then it didn't totally suck - just sounded too wierd to use. |

Sounds cool . I still don't have a stereo setup (wish I had now), I like to try my ce-3 which has a effect signal out and a direct out, then run the direct output into another chorus pedal, I think this should work too.
Hey Laurie, what about three amps ? Let's say a dd-7 to split the signal, one of your ce-5's stereo out to left and right amp, then the other ce-5 to the amp in the middle. |

Hi Laurie
Try this with 3 CE-2's and a 1 in 3 or 4 out splitter, into the CE-2's, then remix all the outputs of the CE-2's back into a small mixer.
I wrote about my Tri-Chorus setup, a few months before you became a member, so you may have missed it?

Hi SP-1 & guys
Simple answer is no, I didn't think people were interested in the idea. Christo seemed to be the only one asking questions about it.
I'll have a go, next time I get the recording gear out.
===off topic== I bought Justin's Arion SCH-1 to fill up one of those boxes I purchased off you a few weeks back. So I have two units now, one for playing & one for my collection. Thanks again.
If you eve come across an English text manual for the Boss V-Wah, please let me know. === end off topic===
Regards Dr. Bob
