I bought a Line 6 Toneport USB interface and as I needed some extra cash to put towards it, I sold my OD1 on Trademe (Our version of Ebay).
It made $101.00 so I doubled what I paid for it.
With the Vox Valvetronix amp and now the Toneport it never got used so I decided to turn it in to cash. Maybe some day I will probably regret selling it but at the moment it doesn't worry me in the least.
Some guy on the auction said it looked beat up in the pic. I told him, no its not beat up but reliced.
Anyway Im enjoying recording using the Toneport. Lots of cool sounds and effects to play with.

I sort of feel the same way pedals 4 pv

I'll never forget the day, OD-1 the poor little fellow, came to me-us with his broken blue wire.
I guess he's off on some new & great adventure.

You'll probably be regretting it some day.
I know I could never really get over the OD-1 I sold 1983 and ended up stock piling all Boss pedals as a direct result of it

I've sort of given up on selling gear as i find years later i miss some of the good stuff i either let slip by or sold on.....but i know lots of people who regularly change their guitars/amps and are quite happy and don't seem to miss their stuff at all..(every time i meet my old guitar teacher he has a different guitar...)...enjoy your new toneport............

I never want to sell any of my pedals or gear.. especially if it's something that I got a good deal on.

When I'm not allowed to buy any more pedals, the wife says "sell some of what you have and buy more!" But I can't bring myself to let go!

I try not to regret, but I do miss my NOS condition CS-2.. the only consolation is that it was part of a trade for my mint SS OD-1 (which will be in my casket when I die)..

Totally agree!
If I would have two or three times more pedals I would feel that still not enough...

cheers

I had to let a DD-5 go. I had 3. Bought it for $65, sold it for $150. I kept the two mint ones with the boxes, etc..

I don't think I could sell any of my OD-1s.

I bought my second DS-1 yesterday - I've been avoiding duplication, but my excuse was that I'd modded my current one, so I needed a "pristine" (but well used) one in the collection

You should sell all of your pedals at least once. Those which you want to buy back are the ones that are keepers. The rest are merely average.

They don't have a Buddha emoticon here, do they?

Try throwing, dropping, hitting, stomping, spilling beer on,
spilling scotch on the Line 6. Sorry, I just love my OD-1 way too much. Battle tested for 26 years and still going.
