You know, I was just sitting downstairs flipping between the Bourne Identity and the Olympics closing ceremony, and that 6ht sense said "hey, just check the BIN withing 2 hours and see what's up" and there it was, started 5 minutes ago, tried to bid, but was locked out, emailed the seller, then POOOOOOOF , it was gone. |

It took 15 hours to sell??! <-- I read the time stamps wrong; sorry!!! 14 minutes is much more what I'd expect...
I got caught napping here -- I had been doing ebay searches on DC-2s and DC-3s earlier this week, just for the heck of it to see what they were selling for. I just missed this by a couple of days at the most.
But, see, here's the thing of it -- what's the guy going to do with it now, just leave it in the box all wrapped up, take it out to look at once in a while mabye? The moment it gets any serious use it's going to start getting dinged and chipped. That's actually the main reason I go for the hoopty pedals; I probably won't bang them up any worse than they already are. Even dinged up it's a steal at $110, though.
You just can't spend 24/7 of the rest of your life waiting for these chances arrive. I've already seen a PQ-4 go for half of what I just paid for mine. You're rolling the dice.
C.K. (I need to rationalize it this way -- c'mon, work with me... )

This boxed DC-2 took only 14 minutes to sell. and yes, i agree stahlhart, you can't sit around on eBay all day.
If I would have won this pedal, I would have stuck a little black electircal tape on all 4 bottom corners, put it in my bcb 3 or bcb 6 and used it for a while, then, I would have probably seen its limitations and then just resold it. It's fun to get these thing in original packaging and well, just sell em to get some other free gear or pay for other stuff.
I just occaisionally get these vibes to "check" and I'd say about once every 3 months I can scoop something or just miss a super deal (A DM-2 in clean shape for $19.95)
It is irritating how many US ONLY seller there are. Selling international is simple - collect money orders, wait till they clear, charge enough for shipping and you are done.
eBay should offer more seller controls ie. all domestic bidders, AND foreign bidders say with at least 50 sales and feedback say greater than 98% so the tire kickers can be weeded out.
on it goes |

Well, the issue for someone in the U.S. purchasing from Canada is time, for one thing -- it's been almost a month now since I won the auction for that OC-2, and I'm still waiting for it. That BF-2 BIN from last week will probably be here in the next day or two.
