Hi Guys
I have posted another new track on the server. Look for a track called Never 2 the way it was planned.mp3. Or Never for short, I forgot to rename it before the upload.
Click on my name, here on the left to get the link, if you can't remember it.
This is an idea I had, after I bought my new USB bidirectional interface, & some other new Toyz for my DAW. Do I really need to explain GAS to anyone here...
The track was done in real time, so you might hear a few tiny glitches. The only overdub, was the Bass track, which was done after my muso Bass player friend Wayne, asked if he could collaborate on the project.
So he took a rip home, & came back with the overdubbed bass track. Which I then remixed into the rough final mix, that I have uploaded.
And a bloody fine job he did of it, he took the track in a whole new direction, to the point, that you might even think-believe that you know, what it's going to be just as it fires up. Then Whamo - off it goes somewhere else.
Oh Goran, don't expect this to be ambient, this is a very up-beat rock track. For those that want to know, the tempo is locked to 134BPM.
And yes the massive bends are real, no whammy bars on my guitars.
In fact, I bent them far enough, to nearly pull the wound "D" "A" String off the bottom of the neck. It's a very visual trick, great for on stage.
Here's an idea, if you think you want to collaborate on this, you are welcome to send in your additions.
Yell out if you guys want to know any other stuff about this one.
BTW, the dry drum track took nearly 6 hours of EQ to get right, yes it's a loop; All my drummer friends, ran off with my old girl friends. (old drummer Joke).
And I'm still waiting for someone to find the Easter Egg in "Temporal Storm", my last upload.... The small prize is still up for grabs.
Regards Dr. Bob |

Good track Bob. I particularly liked your guitar tone. The bass could have done with more punch but overall, better than I could do ATM. |

Excellent Dr.Bob - great track - I really enjoyed it. Fantastic bass tone and crackingly good guitar tone - sounds nice and thick - do I detect a DC-3 in there somewhere? The harmonies are subtlely done too - did you use a pedal (PS-2?) |

Nice track Dr. Bob something different than the other tracks. Does your guitar stay in tune after those bends ?

Well Bob, I also like bluesy rock very much and here I hear a fine example of how this should be executed! The tone of your playing, and the playing, is very good and Im glad to hear you in this style (as I know you played with blues acts much). The wah work is impressive (Cry baby?), the sound of the whole piece reminds me of Robin Trower, and thatcan be seen as a great compliment I like the song a lot, the only downside is of course the "drummer", but you explained above... The last thing, as always, please let us hear more, Im on my way compiling a Dr Bob CD |
