| i checked out the bid history, and i'm assuming that you're the one who bid $15 and then upped it to $20. what happened is someone put in a bid for the same amount but they did it a day before you. whenever there are two identical bids, the one placed first takes priority. |

Yup, I've won and lost on that! Always bid acouple of cents more, you either get beat by a buck or you win! P.S. It should say you are the high bidder, or it should say you've been outbid but it does not do that! |

after a while of watching and ebaying you can get pretty good at last second out bidding.
before they hid the buyer's identity, you could research other bidder's bidding habits, i.e. do they low bid and then come back at the end, do they bargain bid (someting worth 75, bid 50, hope they get it for 50 but don't bid again) and of course, if they are snipers.
Its VERY SATISFYING to out bid someone by ONE PENNY on an expensive item like over 500 by by bidding 525.01 and the person below you has bid $525 because at that point, the bid increments are $10.00 so its fund to out bid byone penny. RISKY, yes, but FUN! LOL |

| you can still see the bidding habits for hidden bidders. click their asterisked name, and it will show you their bid history for the last 30 days, while still hiding the person's name. |

So you can! Here's my info. I bought 1 CD which I pretty much knew noone would bid on, so I bid early. The rest are pedals. <1hr. Ha ha, <20 seconds is more like it. Total eBay sniper here!!! |

I find bidding with .52 means you can win by a few pence
If it's in the bag that I'll win it I'll bid early on, because usually, I forget However if it's something serious (ie, a pedal) I show no signs of interest untill the last 60 seconds.
Does anyone use sniper programs? I've no experience, I prefer doing it myself, I'm quite the marksman now But I hear they're pretty good. |

I don't use programs. I prefer to 'see the whites of their eyes'. Also, how annoying is it when it's you that get's sniped with like 3 seconds to go. Honestly, a few times I've thought I've had something, then YOINK! Last one I was annoyed about was a CS-1. Grr.... Been trying to nail one for the right price for some time now. Also holding out for a SS, but may fold soon! |

| I prefer to it myself, but I wish more people would too. I hate it when I legitly snipe past a load of people with 5 seconds left and then some douche with an automated bidding program steals it in the last second ! |

| I thought about using one, but you have to pay a percent of the price. i and just mostly buying pedals to sell and try out.So with ebay's high fee's and paypals cut. I really don't wanna spend more.So if i don't get it oh well there is always another one to try |

you guys are totally giving away all your ebay trade secrets... tisk tisk.
i use a snipe program (and it's free) only when i'll be at work or sleeping at the time of the auction's closing. if i'm going to be around, i prefer to snipe it myself. besides it's way more exciting that way, except when your browser/connection dies at two minutes to midnight! |

I used esnipe or something to win my Rolleiflex camera (I kept missing at the last few seconds) - it worked brilliantly, and I can see the appeal of using it all the time. Maybe it's best that I don't buy many pedals on ebay. |

So why would you (or anyone for that matter) want to buy a pedal in the condition that it is in. I'm curious because it looks pretty ruined and useless.
