I saw one once. They looks, frankly, perfect. I asked a guy in the shop what he thought of it, he said he brought it as he knew it was fake, but to prove a point. (it was on display reminding not to fall for fakes) if I recall, I remeber him saying it looks brilliant but plays shite. Like worse that the epiphone copies.
Obviously this one could be fine, just be careful |

For $300 ya can't go wrong. It'll never appreciate like a Gibson, but it's only $300! BTW, shouldn't it have a proper truss rod cover( not upside down)? |

Could be wrong, but I thought I've seen pix of Tony Iommi playing an SG with a left handed T-Rod cover that was upright SG. Maybe they didn't make a LP Custom LH cover? Don't know. P.S. Just did a Google search, all the LP Custom LH's I saw had an upright logo. Something to look for Zerks if you buy! |

Sure --
It might be a Chinee piece 'o crap -- but if it plays nice for you, and the PU's all work OK, why not make the guy an offer.
I would just ask to look under the hood, and ensure that the electronics are where you want them. Then there's the physical things; truss rod and other adjustment details like PU height.
They might skimp on those minor adjustment details.... So you should examine them. |

| I would have no problem with it. Give it a thorough going-over to make sure everything is proper. If the pickups are crap(which, at that price, they very well may be) you can put some Duncans or Dimarzios in there and still be well ahead of the game financially(same can be said for any hardware). |
