SD-1 should be nice to get that midrange Marshall tone and with the EQ you should be able to get the right amount of bass. Keep your amps at a neutral setting. Maybe you do not like tweaking who knows??
I understand what you're saying, but it seems like a waste of money and pedalboard space to have to use two pedals when my OD-3 and Digitech Bad Monkey always sound great without requiring additional EQ'ing. Also, for live use, an OD that requires an EQ pedal as well to sound good means that you have to turn two pedals on at the same time when you want overdrive - Unless, of course, you get loop pedal to kick them in at the same time - Hang on, that's THREE pedals instead of one good overdrive... |

FZ2 was the only pedal i've had that really didn't like. Too splattery
Many good opinions in this forum kept me from buying the duds |

FZ-5 for me too - none of that richness that I have come to expect from a good fuzz.
PS: ChristoMephisto - listening to a track called 'Fragile' by LSG as I type this and the bpm is synching up precisely with your 'clubbin cat' avatar - wicked!!!

Hmm, EH-2 does wonder for my pedalboard. I have 14 Boss in a row though... quote: Originally posted by zerksies

I had a PSM-5, and it seriously messed with the treble and boosted noise from the loop pedals when engaged: LS-2 is far superior. |

I agree, if you can keep things simple it usually is better.
I personally like the idea of using so so amps and then making them sound much better by using pedals.

I never can understand why the PH-2 gets so much hate. I've had Small Stones, Maxon PH-350, Ph-1r, etc. and the only one I've never flipped is the PH-2. Very unique and great if you like some over the top swirl (fwiw, mine is MIJ if that makes any difference at all). Only other phaser I truly love is the Small Stone, but the volume drop is a major downfall. |

my worst boss experince .....ps5. ( pitch shifter) i got this thing for nothing from a mate. and it left my posession in a matter of days. I actually rang a music store 1400kms away ( id never done any busines with them before)...and they agreed that if i sent the pedal to them..they'd send a vintage pedal back to me as payment. they sent me an ink stamped ss ce2...awesome... i mean..what a peice of crap. i really didnt care if they sent me no pedal in return. i was hurting having it the house with me.
my second worse boss pedal experience was the ls2. good concept...but the worst tone sucker ive ever seen.
my third worst boss experience was a mij sd 1 buzzzzzzzz
i swapped that for a 1938 short wave radio art deco thing. i turn it on at night and listen to people talking 20000kms away.
