Probably on a Taiwanese BF-2
Seller is wrong about this oscillation idea, both versions can do this and they both sound very very similar, as we all know by now eh?!! |

| I think the knob change happened approx 1987. I've seen only one MIJ BF-2 with the new style knobs. In 99% of all cases a BF-2 or CE-3 with the old style knobs are MIJ and the new style knobs MIT. |

I assumed he was talking about the BF-2 vs. the BF-3. Can the BF-3 oscillate? I've never actually played with oscillation on the BF-2 myself, I'll have to try it.

I would not really call it "oscillation" [funny word really!!] more like the idea that the pedal "runs away with itself", a really......bad sound, most people may not really want this from their flangers.
The BF-3 has so many options, and I also have to admit that I never really looked at it for the "oscillation-sound", but you may be able to get some of those sounds, who knows?? |

I had one of these, MIJ greenback with grey-white-top knobs. Have NOT seen one of these on eBay at all in the last 2 years. I thought someone had changed the knobs, and so I sold it to get a non-knob swapped BF-2. ha. looks like it may have had some collectibility as a limited availability unit.
Man, the permutations of uniqueness is amazing, especially since there really appeared to be no major changes from the first BF-2 from around 1980-81 to those that are being sold today, MIT. Have they gone to SMT circuits for MIT BD-2s???? |
