I had one of these way back when they came out, I seem to remember them being about 800.00 list. I think I paid over 500.00 for it but have seen them go for as little as 75.00 on e-bay, but with 3 hours to go it's almost 250.00 I may have to pick one of these up next time I see it cheap

$247.50! WOW!

A friend gave me a ME-5 about a year ago, he said something was wrong with it and if you can fix it its yours. Turns out the solder joints on the direct board mounted input/output jacks had broken from being stepped on with cables plugged in one too many times. Re-soldered them and its like new.
