We have had this topic before but I think most of us has changed our minds since the last time. There are some Boss pedals that we never use, they are just collecting dust, for myself I never use the following: NF-1 (NS-2 is superior in every way) CS-3 (CS-2 is much better) AW-2 (I have tried it several times, but I cant get a good sound out of it)

| The XT-2 is useless to me... and I'm not fond of the HM-2 either |

| I must say that I like the NF-2 for the simplistic look but I'll admit that I don't use it much. |

Hi Goran & Guys
For me it's the CS-3
- It's the pedal I love to hate. - It kills the tone of everything I plug into it. |

Strange, it's the pedal I love most I've always had good results both in front of the amp and in the effects loop. Oh yeah, it's really a bass pedal, not a guitar pedal Anyway, mine doesn't color, hum, hiss or make any other extranous noise, it just does what it's supposed to do, namely smoothen out loud peaks in my signal pretty subtle while leaving the dynamics intact. I never tried a cs-2 so I can't compare. I do get the same (read even better) results from my RCL-10. |

the NF-1 is quite useless thanks to the NS-2
i would say half the Boss distortions/Ods are useless just because a lot of them sound too alike.
im also slowly turning into one of those people that hate the MT-2. whats happening to me? it used to be my best friend. |

Well, useless is a strong word here, but I understand what you mean. And sure, MT-2 is not my favourite either. |

i think there's a few OC-2's gathering dust out there. i had one but never could use it with the band.
^^ so Goran, if you don't use the AW-2 would you consider sellin it on for a resonable price?!!! |

DC-2 I know it is a great pedal, sounds great at home but when I use it in a band, it is like turning off my bass. I guess, it is only usable for guitar. |

| I think the PS-2 is pretty much a bust: the sound is horrible, except for the delay setting. |

Have any of you heard that sample of that new Metalcore pedal on the Boss site?
It sounds even worse than the MT-2 and frankly I'm not quite sure what kind of guitar players Boss would like to atract with a pedal like that. It's completely useless in a band situation, it sounds like a dozen bees in a jar and it probably ends up like its predecessor, the MT-2. That's actually the most sold pedal ever, usually sold to beginner guitar players who play with it at home for a while, join a band only to find out that the sound doesn't work in a band situation so they end up selling it to another newbie guitar player, who plays with it at home for a while, etc, etc.
Just to make a point. |

| Ha.. I just bought a MT2. However I know it's not going to be a part of my overall tone. I got it to get better crunch out of my amp at low volumes while practicing. Thinking about doin the Robert Keeley Mod on it unless I can find the same mod and do it myself. Which I'd rather do. |
