Hello guys!
After a couple of very busy weeks, finaly i found some time to check on this forum etc ;) :D
I've a question about a Boss DS-1. This week, i buy 3 Boss pedals for 80 euro. It was a boss MT-2, Boss OD-2 and a Boss DS-1 with PSA adaptor and cables. Not a bad deal i think ;) But de DS-1 is strange, this one have a Black Label, made in Taiwan and a serial number tag inside the battary space (like Japanese Boss pedals have only it says that this one is made in Taiwan). Serial number is 132618. When i looking on the serial number decoder on this site, the decoder say: "The unit with serial number 132618 was produced December 1981". Strange because the production from the DS-1's moved in 1988 to Taiwan.
Is there some how can explain this to me? :)
Regards, Robert |

| This DS-1 is probably made 1988. There are some DS-1, SD-1 and HM-2s with this type of serial numbers. When production first moved to Taiwan, the serial numbers didn't match the numbers on the Japanese pedals. When the 2+5 system of serial numbers was introduced, 1989, the numbers were back in sync again. |
