So, I'm just wondering why there's not a Boss Fest or Boss Day, or if there is, when is it ?
Yeah, a great day, with bands, beer, pedals expo, beer, pedal trades, beer, Rock'n'roll, beer, more pedals...

Like Ozzfest or something...
That would be great man !!!
And I'm serious !
Think about it ! |

| That's the major problem. We're all spread out across the globe so gathering everyone who's interested in one place is practically impossible. |

True, but because the site is based in the UK I think that day [or weekend] should take place in the UK, and I would not mind help organising it.
Think of the homerecording Jamfest weekend, this site is in the US, and probably most folks attending will come from the US, still there will be other membebers from other countries as well.
It is possible but will take time and organisation. I wondered about the possibilities about this a while ago at the end of 2005, and interesting to see that someone now here today comes up with a similar thought, so it is proof that there is interest in such an idea.
I think we should brainstorm about the options for something like this, and then get serious about its practicalities.
If you think of a major location in the UK with an airport etc. it should all be possible. I myself live in a place which is not too congested and accessible from all four corners of the the world, so who knows eh???.................. |

| Guinness book of world records anybody? The longest effects pedal chain. Even more amazing would be not using patch cables but real long leads. There should be some kind of BOSSfest the only problem is that BOSS is all over the world! so where would you have the fest? |

I vote against having it in the UK, only because the damn dollar is so weak right now. I just looked up travelling to London for that My Bloody Valentine reunion mini-tour that is finally happening, and it costs like $1800 for transporation and a week's hotel stay outside of London. If anyone happens to live near London at all, and wouldn't mind my girlfriend and I staying there for a week, that would be really swell. The travel will still cost me almost $1000, but if the stay was free that would even out. She and I would cook you dinners.
What do ya say? |
