Got it a week ago, OD-1 from 1983. I haven't taken it apart to see the number on the PCB yet.
Of course it is not a silver screw first edition, but it IS near mint AND in the original box. I really like the sound of it. Very tubescreamer-ish, but also very different. It compresses in a very musical way, and is very usable. I'm using it in my live rig right now.

Very nice. I just recently got an OD-1 as well but mine is boxless unfortunately. I'm still shaking it down tonewise.

Dr. Bob, I haven't forgot your request for pics. I promise I'll get it in gear someday...

No box or manual, but for 45 bucks I'm not complaining!

I got these pedals over Christmas. I already converted the EHX ones to boss type dc sockets. The EHX metal case is a "little bugger" to drill. And there goes the warranty up in flames...

<Rant>
The big muff has actually the worst quality pcb layout I've ever seen. You'd expect a box like that would have the fattest traces and solder pads possible, but no, they have to opt for a "spider web". Really, the designer of this pcb should quit his job asap and sell falafel in NYC.

My advice, steer clear off the American NYC re-issue, it is not worth the money. Build one on your own if you like its sound.
</Rant>

The small clone/stone are really cool pedals though. The big muff is more suitable for bass guitar stock. I replaced the 1uF Electrolytics with 0.1uF metal film and it is still to "bassy". In the process, I ruined several traces, even by using a small 10 W soldering iron that is.

Sad to report, I had to return my DM-3. It was way more beat up than the sales guy coped to on the phone, and with the whine, I could not justify spending what I did on it.

So, I am back in the hunt for a nice DM-3!!!
