Why not just carry a DI box (or a SansAmp preamp) and go direct to the PA?
I've done that with Lauries HZD pedal in a pinch but your working off the premise that every band has proper monitoring and/or is't that loud so the guitar player can hear himself in the PA ...not always the case for some people whare their amp is their 'monitor'...
I've got one of these and I love it. I'm surprised how loud it is. I use it for a backup on stage and for low volume, late night practicing. I put a Metal Zone in front of it. Good stuff.
Are they out a while ..?..i got the impression they were just released...how loud can this thing get before it starts to distort..?...i'm a single coil sorta guy and i like a lot of clean headroom..i've noticed with a lot of those demos for gear their using guitars with humbuckers or some sort of high output pickup and all they are interested in is how dirty the amp can get......
Even wide open it doesn't distort enough for me, and my primary guitar has a Gibson Tony Iommi pickup. That's where the Metal Zone comes in.
Plugged straight in with the bright switch on it starts to break up with the volume half way up. I haven't tried it with single coils.
For late night practicing I have the volume as low as it will go before it cuts out. I would not hesitate to use it on stage as long as my cabinet was mic'd.

Hi Nibbles
Any chance of asking for you to take a few internal pictures of your 22 caliber amp in a pedal. For our Pedal Internals Thread.
Regards Dr. Bob
Sorry, my digital camera is low quality and old. Close up shots are nothing but a blur.
I was given a voucher for amazon for my birthday and they have the .22 caliber for $99 ...sorta on the fence because i like the HZD going to the PA in emergencies..were lucky enough to have a couple of decent monitors but ya know what singers are like if they hear anything else in 'their' monitors except for their big mouths.......
