As Stratosphere I can use a lot at home, but when jamming just a few, 1-2 ods/dists plus a delay and when Im in the mood DC-3. When jamming its impossible to handle a big row of pedals for me, I have to put the energy in the playing (see Im not that good). And you know what happens when a jam starts, everybody goes ahead at once and you dont have much time to your own sound check, if youre lucky you have the time to tune up

I usually dont have more than 3-4 pedals in my chain. Currently...Guitar -> Analogman DS-1 -> DC-3 -> DD-2 -> AMP |

turn off DS-1 and use AMp Channel 2 or 3, and teh delays go from overdrive to clean as they repeat. booty. |

I switch my pedals in and out of the signal chain with a Digital Music Corp. switching system. I use an Harmonizer, a Super Overdrive, a Metal Zone, A GE-6 Equalizer, A CE-2 Chorus, a BF-2 Flanger and a DM-2 Delay. I can use all of these or none and switch them in and out, so I have very little signal loss. I have a NS-2 in my amps loop that's always on and a TU-2 tuner that's always in front. |

i am living in an apartment right now with low on floor room so at a time i am usually running 2 pedals max because i have to constantly tear down and set up my set up. But when i am back at home i have 9 in my line up. I have the whole boss bass line up as well as an older bass flanger and a crybaby bass wah (i know it is not boss). on the way i have a fuzz pedal so i will have 10 in the line up as soon as it shows up. any ideas on good ways to set them up all replies will be taken into consideration thanks daryl |

| i would say wah, distortions, EQ, modulation. although wah may also be good right after distortion instead of before. |

Y'know, I actually have quite a few in the chain, plus 4 more in the loop. I'll post a pic of my board as soon as the whole upload problem gets solved, but in the meantime...
Crybaby Classic (TB) -> CS-3 (MA Mod) -> BD-2 (MA Mod) -> DS-1 (My own mod) -> Loop-Master TB looper -> DD-20 -> RC-20xl -> Planet Waves Pedal Tunber (TB) -> Out to amp. So that's, what, 8 pedals? 3 of which are True Bypass. I don't count the Twin Pedals as possible problems because they are so incredibly quiet and present no measureable difference in tone or noise. I use the same setup for practice or gigging. Do I have any tone loss or coloration? NOPE! I've worked hard to keep it clean and it's extremely quiet, clean and tight. Yes, I do use every pedal on my board. I wouldn't have them there otherwise. |

| I typically use Keely SD-1 -> DSD-2 -> DC-2 -> PN-2 in stereo out to a Carr Slant 6V and Marshall 2554 Silver Jubilee. My other pedals I generally only use individually when I feel like it. I really need to build a permanent pedal board. Then I'll set up some huge chain. |

when playing in the band;
OS-2 dist > OS-2 overdrive > BF-3 > CH-1 |

10 for me.
1) Rangemaster clone> 2) MXR reissue phase 90> 3) Vox reissue Clyde> 4) TS9 reissue> 5) OC2> 6) Menatone Bluecollar> 7) DC3> 8) DigiDelay> 9) Guyatone MD3> 10) T-Rex Replica
I keep the range master is on all of the time to help keep from loosing highs from loading of the other boxes. I use it for more of a unity gain with a hint of treble boost (I built this one myself, so it's not exactly a Range Master). The RM, MXR, Vox wah, Blue Collar and T-Rex are true bypass.
When I get around to it I'm going to use a bigger pedal board and add a few more.

i have 2 comlete setups i use when playing live. i'll chose which to use once i know what size of venue we're playing, and how much time we'll have to set up. this is actually quite a large consideration as i also have to deal with setting up most of the PA as well as my guitar gear.
my main setup is based a round a Mesa Nomad 2x12: Guitar>Wah (crybaby or bad horsie)>DS-1 (pedal doc's 'valve tone' mod)> Whammy 4> amp input-TC G-Major in FX loop. the mesa/TC side of things is contoled from a boss FC-100, with amp chanel changing being MIDI controled via an Axess Electronics Switcher. this means i have 2 pedal boards in front of me while playing, but i'm getting the hang of it now.
My 2nd set up involves a Laney GH-100L amp head running clean with a 7 (at the moment) compact pedals in line between the guitar and the amp: guitar>wah>TU-2>Keeley DS-1 Ultra> Ibanez TS9 (pedal doc's ts9-808 mod)> SPF ego boost>DD-3>CH-1> amp (low gain input)
the laney amp, to my ears, is a vastly more verstaile amp than anything marshall have produced, it has loads more tone, with serious bottom end. this is usually run into a Laney 4x12, more recently though either a Mesa 2x12, or 2 Marshall 1x12s ( MONO, but with one either side of the stage 'cos our bass player is a bit deaf).
