I am trying to get more bass response out of my SD-1. I am considering using the AMZ Fat mod, activated with a switch, as detailed here:
http://www.muzique.com/lab/fatt.htm

Has anyone done this? And if so, which is the eqivalent capacitor on the SD-1? And how did you connect the 4.7k resistor to the 4.5v?

Thanks,

Doug

The corresponding SD-1 capacitor is C3. The 4.7k resistor is R6.
However, the order of C3 and R6 is swapped in SD-1.

C3 connects directly to 4.5V, so you should be able to do the mod without any problems.

Here is the location of C3 and R6 in the SD-1 schematic:

You can see where it connects to 4.5V in the middle of the voltage divider.
