He won't get a buyer. That's totally unrealistic, considering how common CE-2s are, and that there is no significant difference between MIT and MIJ, let alone silver screw or skeleton switch (except to the e-penis braggarts at HC).
But then, some psychopath just shelled out $550 for an SP-1, so who knows...?

No its absurd at 335$
But the funny thing - this seller just had an old OD-1 silver screw, long dash and everything.. Had a BIN for 155$ (unfortunatly i was to long to react - it was gone) - I wonder what went wrong when he priced the CE-2.. |

No matter how badly you might want something for your collection, you just have to man up and say "no" to these people once in a while, otherwise in a couple of years you're going to be paying more than $1000 for DM-2s. As soon as one guy gets this price, the next one is going to try to get more. Look at how the SP-1s are getting run up now.

It's those folks from Polar Bear Amplification again. They always price their stuff high. I still say the Canadian cold has gotten to them. (It was the only blue emoticon we had)

| Looking at their completed auctions, they had an OD-1 MIJ SS that they first listed at $225, then $170, and then it finally sold at $155. So, it seems that this is the way they operate. Fishin' to see where the top of the market is. |

They're harpooning for Moby Dick here, if that's the case...

The number of players actively acquiring pedals in the "Polar Bear" area is shrinking as not only are their faces blue, but their hands are turning a "DC-2 purple-blue", hence, the reaction to increase prices in light of declining sales volumes. |

| Didn't all the SS versions have the wider font? That one doesn't. |

| I have a long dash OD-1 with black screw and have seen others like it so I thought the silver screw went first. |

I have an OD-1 with the wide dash and black screw made in 1981 and I too have seen others like it. It seems like the shorter dash was introduced quite late in OD-1 production.
Regarding CE-2 the long dash seem to have dissapeared sooner than on the OD-1. I have a CE-2 also from 1981 with black screw and short dash. |

What's the serial number of your CE-2? I'd like to find out when exactly the long dash disappeared. I have a catalogue photo of a CE-2 with black screw and long dash so I'm confident the silver screw disappeared first but it's hard to say exactly when it changed. |
