Visserman, have you actually tried this combination? What settings have you used? I imagine the combination of the 2 would be pretty muddy. I am interested in the GT2 because I heard the Mesa feature is pretty good, but not if it will add muddiness to my sound. I do like to have the MT2 cranked pretty good (distortion around 3 or 4 o'clock). |

I think you would need to use the Sans GT2 in its clean setting, just turn up the volume and the drive. What you really want is just a clean boost because the MT-2 does have so much gain of itself, also the Sans will add a different kind of colour and you can add extra high and bass.
I will try this setting myself and report back to you later.
I dig the fact that the MT-2 can also give you older Marshall type of sounds, really like those instead of the full saturated trottle. |

Another vote for the SD-1 into the BD-2! Awesome sounding distortion! I had the BD-2, which I really like, and got the SD-1 and DS-1 for christmas. I was psyched about the DS-1 as well, but after playing around and ending up running the SD-1 intot he BD-2, I decided I'm going to go exchange the DS-1 (and use a giftcard and add a bit of cash), and get the DD-3 instead!
I find the SD-1 -> BD-2 (at least with my setup) to be very vintage Marshally sounding, AC/DC is a perfect match for the tone. I couldn't be happier! |
