He used to play guitar for Blood Swat and Tears, and also Miles Davis. He uses BOSS pedals exclusively....Check him out. He has his own band, playing jazz/fusion type stuff....

Uses a DS-1 as far as i know and a a couple of yamaha solid state amps with an SPX 90...sacrilege........only kiddin' ...great player......

P.S......pat metheny is more familiar to me and lately i've been listening/checking out stern and bill frisell on you tube..sterns clean tone reminds me a bit of Methenys during his ECM recordings back in the 70's...

I didn't know that. Saw him live in the early 90s. What I remember best was that it was insanely loud. I think I also saw him with Brecker Brothers around the same time.
Got one album that I bought immediately after the concert (Upside downside). It's a good album but he was better live because the sound wasn't so polished.

He uses alot of chorus, which some people dig, alot dont. I personally like his tone, especially when he uses his delay also....
