Having a dogtraining girlfriend, and having three dogs, makes you watch the one or the other TV show about dogs... I admit it.
recently we've been seeing a documentary about two dogtrainers that claimed that dogs don't have feelings or compassion.. of course they are wrong (and we were quite angry when we saw this bullshit broadcasted - just cause so many people believe almost everything they see on the telly)
I've just seen a clip that proves them wrong, very wrong (eventhough in a very sad way).
(DISCLAIMER) please don't watch this clip if you don't want to see a dog getting hit by multiple cars - It's really hard to stomach - but it's also very touching - I know this sounds strange but you'll understand.
I had to dam up my tears when I saw this... and I'll admit that it wasn't because of the dog getting hit (and please don't take this the wrong way) but because of the courage and altruism of the second dog dragging him off of the highway into safety (hopefully not too late).
I have two dogs and Mrs F 's aunt has five great danes which we used to walk most evenings before the kids came along... anyone who abuses an animal like a dog etc..is a shithead.... and i agree Mully about dogs knowing what is going on and having feelings....my two know by my voice when their bold and i give out.... not very often BTW,their great dogs and very gentle with the kids..... looking at the other dog pulling his mate off the road makes you think.....
