I put together this picture based on my database of serial numbers. It shows when Boss started and stopped producing pedals with the different label colours.
Prepare for horizontal scrolling, this picture is very wide

Edit: The 2 red labels in 1998 should have been on the same level as the other reds. Didn't notice this when I glued the pic together from 2 excel screens.

Edit2: The pic does not include RV-2s. Thes have dark gray labels and I only have a handful of serials so I didn't add them in.

There are also CE-2Bs with orange labels.
The BF-2 is the only pedals to have had Black, green, orange, pink and dark gray labels. The green even comes in both MIJ and MIT flavours.

I'm still working on the Excel/Access conversion of the serial database. When that's done I will create a web page where everyone can query/add serial numbers.

I recently bought a used CH-1 Super Chorus. It has a pink label and serial#: TK 18861. i would like to know if mine was manufactured before October 2001.

Did i get the analog older version of CH-1?
Can you tell me what year mine was made?

Thank you very much...

If you enter the serial number into the serial number decoder (http://www.bossarea.com/serial/sndecoder.aspx), you will find that your CH-1 was made August 1997
